These pigs, which represent only 2-3% of the Iberian species, are fed almost exclusively with acorns, and have a surface of about 5 acres of land per specimen, in which they graze freely for about 2 years. Gifted with an intense red color, brilliant because of intramuscular fat, which gives it the characteristic greasiness due to the acorn-based diet. On the palate it has an intense and persistent taste, which melts in the mouth.
